A TROUBLESOME THING CALLED LOVE

Chapter 1: Ino’s pie

Konoha, a typical day… but not for everyone! There’s an unusual nervousness at the Konoha Stadium. They were about to announce the name of the girl who has been chosen to be the best kunoichi this year. Everyone’s whispering the names of two possible winners…

“You mean Yamanaka? That’s ridiculous! Haruno Sakura is the all-time greatest!”

“No way! Sakura can’t compete with Ino’s style and elegance!”

“But Sakura is the Hokage’s student! She has gotten stronger than Ino! Besides, that blonde is too snobby!”

Ino can’t help overhearing the conversations of the people around her. Here we go again, She thought with a deep sigh.

Yamanaka Ino is one of the most beautiful girls in Konoha—charming, gorgeous, has a great taste in fashion, and best of all, she’s considered to be the strongest female rookie ninja in her Genin year. She felt bad though, when she’s teamed up with a lazy bum like Nara Shikamaru and a fatty like Akimichi Chouji. But that was before. They became a great team ever since.

Aside from Haruno Sakura, she had no other rivals since she became a Genin. And now that both she and Sakura are now on the Chuunin level, the two are struggling to be the no. 1 kunoichi this year. Ino thought how unfair for Godaime to train Sakura instead of her, now everyone thought that Sakura Haruno is the strongest… not like an Ino Yamanaka who has been rumored to know nothing but to flirt and to care about her beauty and body.

Actually, she wouldn’t mind if that happens after patching things with Sakura, but when her sensei, Asuma, died, she promised to herself and in front of Asuma’s funeral, not to be beaten by her rival. So she struggled to do her best and even engaged in a lot of dangerous missions just for her to achieve the title again… like it was one of the most valuable things in a kunoichi’s life.

‘Hmph. Who cares what they say? Right now, I just need to concentrate on… THE BIG NEWS!’ She thought, anticipating the announcement that Iruka is going to make.

“And now, the best kunoichi this year is none other than…”

HOWEVER, in the Nara household, it’s the same old story!

“Shikamaru! You’re going to be late!” Shikamaru’s mother bellowed the moment she saw her son came rushing down from the stairs. “Did you forget that the ceremony’s today?”

“Hai hai…” Shikamaru answered lazily as he reluctantly sat down on the chair, facing the table. ‘So loud early in the morning! Troublesome mother!’

However, her mother’s right. He’s going to be late because he almost forgot that there’s a special occasion today in the Konoha Stadium.

Well, today might be a special day for others because it’s the ceremony where awards would be given to the most outstanding ninjas this year…

But not for him.

It’s too troublesome to put this date on his calendar. He had already a lot of things to do as a Chuunin. He wouldn’t go on this pain in the ass occasion if it hadn’t for his mother who always scolds him for being so irresponsible and lazy.

He took a look around the kitchen.

Oh great, his father had already left. But Shikamaru already knew that Shikato had to leave early because it so happens that his father’s presence is needed in the ceremony. He just can’t stand listening on her mother’s troublesome lecture alone.

“Why aren’t you ready? Why can’t you ever manage your time?” Darn, another one.

The Chuunin yawned loudly before he replied, “But I am on time.”

“Sure! It’s the rest of the world that’s early! Now eat your breakfast and get your lazy butt out of here on the double!”

Why can’t this troublesome woman just shut up and let him eat his food in peace? “All right.”

When his mother turned her back on him, Shikamaru took this opportunity to throw a sharp look at her.

When Shikamaru left the house, he dashes off to the stadium. Even if he hates to rush, he had to! He can’t stand the troubles he faces everytime he gets late.

He reaches the stadium that was already crowded with a lot of people. The atmosphere is obviously filled with nervousness and excitement. He looked up to the stage and saw Iruka making an announcement, “And the best kunoichi this year is none other than… YAMANAKA INO!”

Yeah, Ino.

No doubt about it, that girl would win. He knew how beautiful and strong Ino is at the same time. It’s impossible if others won’t notice it. But he swore to himself that he wouldn’t be one of those guys who admires crazily over her.

What’s there to admire? Ever since he and Ino became teammates, she always boss him and Chouji around, bickers with him everytime he talks badly about Sasuke and worse of all—the girl reminded him of his own mother.

He hates her. She’s like other girls.

She’s too troublesome.

“SHIKAMARUUU!”

Oh no.

That familiar croak.

It’s none other than that girl.

How troublesome.

“I made it! I made it!” Without any warning, Ino hugged Shikamaru and squeezed his body really tight making the guy grunt in pain. For a moment there, Shikamaru thought every bone in his body is going to break.

“Argh! My back!” Shikamaru blurted out when he was released by Ino’s ‘deadly glomp.’ His entire body aches and his back had gotten the worst pain ever. “Ino! You’re like an uncouth boar!” He retorted, throwing a deadly glare to the blonde.

“Tut! Temper! Temper!” The girl was still smiling cheerfully, unmoved by his glare and loud voice, “Have you heard? I’m the best kunoichi this year! Yay!”

Oh boy. Yay for that.

“Hey Shikamaru! Aren’t you happy for me?” Ino raised her eyebrow when she noticed that the guy didn’t show any reaction at all. “SHIKAMARU!” She yelled at him.

Shikamaru blinked. Why can’t women ever learn to control their own sound?

He sighed before he answered, “Uh yeah. That’s great, Ino.”

He knew that Ino isn’t expecting a negative answer so the blonde girl showed a bright smile, “I’m glad!” She takes a look around, unmindful of the crowd. “Where’s Chouji? This calls for a celebration! Let’s go to your place and party!

Shikamaru eyebrows arched, wondering if his ears deceived him, “Wait a minute… my place?”

“Yes, my house is a wreck today. I can’t take you guys there.” Then Ino’s eyes switched back at Shikamaru and shot him a scary look, “You wouldn’t mind, would you?”

He gulped and smiled nervously, “Of… of course not.”

Oh boy, Ino in his house? Just as he expected, things would be a whole lot troublesome.

Firstly, he knew that throughout the entire day, Ino would talk about herself and how great she is for getting an award.

Second, she would turn his house upside down!

Last, it would be troublesome for him to do anything about it!

“Do you think we should look for Chouji? I think he must be around here somewhere.” The girl then walked past him and continued looking around the flock of people.

Shit, looking for someone in this crowd is extremely troublesome.

Before he could think of escaping, Ino grabbed the end of his collar and dragged him straight to the crowd, “All right Shikamaru! Let’s start searching for Chouji!”

Shikamaru grunted. “Ino, can’t you just—” He stared back at the girl.

Ino glared at him. “’Can’t you just sit still, right?’ I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO SAY THAT!” She struggled to gain back her composure and refrained from gripping his collar. “Well whatever it is, let’s go search for Chouji NOW.”

Emphasizing the last word means no chances of him escaping from the clutches of this troublesome woman. He let out a loud yawn and with a lazy expression on his face… the Nara walked past the girl and stepped in to the crowd in search for their teammate. When all of a sudden…

A loud scream. Ino’s scream.

Shikamaru’s eyes widened and panic was shown on his face.

What on earth happened to that woman now?

“Aargh! H-help! I’m injured!!! I’ll sue!!! T-this can’t be happening to me!” Ino continuously yelled in agony. People started turning their attentions on the blonde girl who is screaming her lungs out holding her balled fist that seems to be wounded.

He quickly rushed back to his teammate, “Oi Ino! What’s wrong? Are you hurt?” He asked worriedly. Yeah, after all, she’s still his comrade and it’s natural for a teammate to care.

Ino’s ear twitched and turned to Shikamaru, “Hurt? It doesn’t hurt, you dummy… but look!” She raised her forefinger to show him, “I broke a nail! Have you any conception of how long it takes to grow back a nail?”

Shikamaru sweat-dropped. ‘How embarrassing…’

“That’s it? A fingernail?” He retorted, a frown on his face, “You caused a panic over a stupid broken nail?”

Ino raised an eyebrow, “’Stupid?’” Her cheeks started to redden in fury. “Just so you know, a nail on a Yamanaka Ino is worth two heads on a Nara Shikamaru!”

Shikamaru shrugged. He can’t stand being yelled and insulted like this. ‘Geez… troublesome women and their troublesome problems equal to troublesome chaos.’

“Eh? Ino? Shikamaru? What happened here?” The two immediately turned their heads on the direction of the familiar voice.

It’s Chouji.

Thanks for the little disturbance, at least Shikamaru’s ears would take a rest from Ino’s whines. “She broke a nail… how troublesome…” Shikamaru told Chouji, pointing at Ino.

“Huh? Just a fingernail?” Chouji replied casually who keeps on munching some potato chips.

Chouji’s reaction made Ino’s temper flared up even more. “GRRR… You guys would never understand a major tragedy like this!” The blonde girl shouted.

“For heaven’s sake, Ino.” He said who had no choice but to argue with her, “Since when is a broken nail a major tragedy?”

Wrong question.

Ino planted a punch on his head and a huge lump started growing. “When it happens on my fingers, baka!” The blonde girl shot a hot glare, then turned her back on him and walked out of the stadium.

“Didn’t I tell you not to try winning a conversation against her, Shikamaru?” Chouji said who seems unaffected as he continued eating his snack.

“I know. Tch.” Shikamaru, who is still aching from the punch Ino gave him, just sighed. That girl will do anything to make a fool out of him.

Later on, Team 10 went to the Nara Residence to celebrate Ino’s winning of the best kunoichi title. Shikamaru’s parents weren’t home because they have some other business to attend to.

Ino had already cooled off. However she still can’t forget how Shikamaru turned into a cold fish. ‘Hmph. Compassion isn’t in his vocabulary. I’ve always felt… it’s we girls who have all the tender feelings in this world.’

Chouji and Shikamaru are resting on the living room while the blonde girl was about to head straight to the kitchen when all of a sudden, someone grabbed her arm from behind.

It’s Shikamaru.

If Ino saw herself, she wouldn’t have believe it, seeing the red marks on her face. His face is just inches away from her. If she would just give herself a chance to stare at him this close before (instead of just yelling and scolding him), she would never realize that someone like him would possess some charm, an irresistible charm.

At this view, Shikamaru’s brown eyes are so deep, without the usual lazy look everytime she would see him, and if his face looks this serious, he damnably be mistaken as cool and sexy! Shikamaru is really attractive at second glance!

She quickly erased the thoughts in her mind. An idiot like Shikamaru isn’t going to attract someone like her. ‘Go away you stupid blush! It’s not the first time he held me!’ She thought. Yeah, because Shikamaru always holds her everytime she uses her mind-body technique… even if she’s not conscious… or not in her body to be exact.

Realizing the nearness of their faces, Shikamaru backed away a bit and let her arm go. “Let me get this straight, Ino. You’re not going to call for delivery and you’re going to make food yourself?” He finally spoke.

Ino blinked to wipe away her daze. Her face brightened and grinned. “You got it!” She proceeded to the kitchen. The blonde sensed that Shikamaru’s following her.

Shikamaru cleared his throat before he replied, “Well… I don’t mean to doubt your ‘culinary skills’ Ino, but…”

The blonde girl ignored him and started to get some things from the fridge and the cupboards. She placed all her materials in the table and started slicing something. “See how good I am? I can slice onions without crying!”

Shikamaru scratched his head helplessly and groaned, “That isn’t an onion, that’s a turnip.”

“Oh no!”

Troublesome! Troublesome! Troublesome!

Just like what Shikamaru thought of, this girl would make his house a total wreck! The kitchen is covered with a mixture of water and flours… even the two of them.

Earlier, the silly blonde just used an eggbeater for mixing the ingredients together and it seems like she doesn’t give a damn about the mess. Well, it’s not her house anyway so why would she care? His parents would scold him when they get back. Big time.

Oh, here comes the worst part.

“Shikamaru, it’s done!” Ino exclaimed happily and grabbed the piece of dessert from the oven, “Go on. Try it.”

Shikamaru, afraid to disappoint his teammate, took a bite from the pie she made.

All of a sudden he spurted out the tiny bits of pie in disgust, “It tastes like cardboard!” He blurted out.

Oops.

What a moron… why can’t he just shut up? Shikamaru expected that if Ino’s not going to beat him up for telling the truth about her pie, she would surely cry. And he hates to see a girl cry.

“Uh—Ino—I…” He nervously turned to the girl.

But Ino’s reaction was different. She smiled and suddenly kissed Shikamaru on the cheek. “Aw Shikamaru, I’m improving…” She spoke in a soft and sweet tone.

A quick and simple smack but it made Shikamaru’s cheeks blushed intensely. This has got to be the first time a girl kissed him… never mind that it’s only on the cheek… but it felt so damnably good. “W-what do you mean, Ino?” He said, stammering. And God knows, how he hates to stammer.

“Last time, you said my pie tasted like burned rubber.” The girl replied, still smiling and not keeping her eyes off him.

Shikamaru sweatdropped. He struggled to say something. “I-it’s troublesome but I think I should help you with your cooking, Ino.”

The girl nodded her head dumbly.

Shikamaru was about to start when suddenly they felt another presence in the kitchen.

And it’s certainly not Chouji.

“Shikamaru, it seems like cooking is your new hobby.” A strong feminine voice muttered.

Both shinobis turned their heads behind to find out who is the sudden visitor.

Shikamaru’s eyes widened to see her, “T-Temari?”

I want to make a rant. A long rant. It'a about my life now. Often times I get depressed and seldom happy. Why? Well, I think my mom and other people is taking away the things that makes me happy. I know it's not right to bare a grudge on someone but forgive me, Lord, it's what I really feel now. :'(

It all started when I get to like typing a long novel in Microsoft Word. Then a big PC clean-up (caused by the virus) happened which forces my sis to save all the files in a CD without my consent. She happens to exclude my long novel! (darn, after all the hard work!) I knew she didn't do it on purpose but why should it happen? I don't have a copy of it!

Second is when we're forced to move the internet cafe in our restaurant. They promised that they will have the internet reconnected by December but it's already two months, and still NO INTERNET!!! I have also less free time in going to internet cafes because they want me to manage the restaurant and be the cashier too!

Third is my fave hobby of all-making amv's! I can't make anymore now since the main pc is destroyed. My family seems to ignore me and doesn't even pay any attention to my internet shop! I hope they will snap back to their senses and take care of this unfinished business!

I don't know but lately all I've been hearing are dumb advices! All my hobby enthusiam are gone. Right now, I'm feeling the urge to continue studying!

WHY I AGREE WITH THE FANON CXC THAN THE CANON CXC
(My Caleb x Cornelia Essay/Rant)

Notes: Whatever you read here are just my opinions towards the Caleb and Cornelia pairing since I’m a big fan of them before. I’m not looking forward for debates. I’ll just entertain questions and comments. If there are points that I missed, then I’m sorry. I made this essay in a rush and I still hope you appreciate it. Thank you.

Dedication: It’s really my friend who got really intimidated how the CalebxCornelia pairing turned out. She’s a big fan of this couple since issue no. 7 and she stopped collecting W.I.T.C.H. at issue 23 (Caleb and Cornelia’s Goodbye!) I tried to convince her to continue, but she wouldn’t. This made her hate W.I.T.C.H. especially when hints of the Peter and Cornelia pairing started to show. So I made this essay for her and for all Caleb and Cornelia believers out there.

I. The Canon CalebxCornelia
-Caleb, a true warrior, willing to serve Meridian and its Queen even if he sacrifices his own happiness.
-Cornelia, a tough guardian, will stand for her duties and is rational when it comes to love.
-All through the series, Cornelia and Caleb will just abide with the decisions of the Oracle, their pride over love and their own roles.

II. The Fanon CalebxCornelia
-Caleb, a man of his word, romantic and a perfect picture of a young man ready to fight for the one he loves.
-Cornelia, a girl who will give up everything for the one she loves and willing to sacrifice even her own life.
-They could have developed a stronger relationship if they fight for it and spend more time together.

THE CANON CALEBXCORNELIA

We Met in Our Dreams…
If you’re a strong believer of destiny, then dig this: What if fate made a way for you to meet the boy of your dreams in person? In Caleb and Cornelia’s case, they saw each other in their dreams—it made a lot of fans go “WHEE! IT’S DESTINY! THEY’RE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER!” In W.I.T.C.H. no. 7, it was Elyon who gave that drawing of Caleb to celebrate Cornelia’s win in ice-skating. Hints of the pairing then started to show. Though it still confuses me how Elyon managed to draw Caleb. Does this mean Elyon dreamed of Caleb too?

Love at First Sight?
Caleb and Cornelia first met at W.I.T.C.H. no. 7 where he saved Cornelia from drowning. When they saw each other for the first time, there are sparks! It was love at first sight then! Being a non-believer of love-at-first-sights, I already knew that a relationship like this seldom works. Why? Caleb and Cornelia doesn’t have so much time to get to know each other better for they live in different worlds and love doesn’t just appear in one sight, it’s developing through time. This means this kind of love is focused more on their physical aspects, or specifically, only mere affection.

This Isn’t the Girl I Fell in-love with!
One error that I spotted in the W.I.T.C.H. Special is in the Caleb part where Cornelia showed her true appearance (also in W.I.T.C.H. no. 17)—Caleb doesn’t mind to see her actual form and still is in love with her. Whereas in W.I.T.C.H. 23, Caleb said, “I haven’t changed my mind about us. What I feel for you is still endless affection!” I’m not really so sure if the guy spoke from his heart or maybe it’s just his pride just for Cornelia’s own good…but when it came to the part where Caleb said, “But then I found out that there was also another girl!” Then Caleb insinuated that he fell in love with somebody who doesn’t exist—that means he loves the guardian-form of Cornelia or better yet, her older version.

A Love that is stronger than any other spell…
People still insists that they are the perfect couple for they have overcome a lot of trials and challenges on their relationship. Remember W.I.T.C.H. no. 22? It was Cornelia’s love to Caleb that saved them from Nerissa’s spell—so yes, we see the love in there. But if we take a look at the other side of this, their love/relationship was just used as an instrument to save the Guardians and finish their mission. Who used them? Well, it’s none other than the Oracle himself. It so happens that he is one of the most confusing characters in W.I.T.C.H.- sometimes cold, unpredictable and too solemn. And there are issues that show the Oracle is not perfect for he also makes a lot of mistakes. For instance, when Will asked the Oracle what will happen to Caleb and Cornelia but the Oracle only said that even he, doesn’t know. But at the next issue (W.I.T.C.H. no. 23), it was the Oracle himself who said this, “I too, have tried to search his heart, but it was written that this is how it would end.” So basically, the Oracle knew how Caleb and Cornelia’s relationship would turn out. Caleb and Cornelia are all parts of his plans but I know the Oracle has his own purpose and it’s for the sake of the guardians to prioritize their roles over love.

Long distance love affairs?
This kind of relationship seldom works too. By the time Caleb and Cornelia stays apart, they will eventually realize that they don’t actually love each other that much and would rather fall to the one closer to them—Caleb falling for Elyon and Cornelia falling for Peter. So togetherness is really important if they want their love to develop.

A Relationship filled with choices and doubts
When Caleb turned into a flower, Cornelia nearly abandoned her friends for the sake of her feelings. She even came to the point in disobeying the laws of Kandrakar and used her powers to bring Caleb back to life—This is just one of the tough trials they faced together for their love. In their relationship, there is always the importance in choosing which to follow-the mind or the heart? In W.I.T.C.H. no. 23, Caleb preferred to be apart with Cornelia. He made that decision alone and didn’t even bother to give Cornelia the chance to decide. Even though the guardians blamed Caleb for hurting Cornelia’s feelings, he knew he had made the right choice.

THE FANON CALEBXCORNELIA (In no relation with the W.I.T.C.H. Special, though I sort of agree with Cornelia's part)

What if Caleb decides to stay with Cornelia in Heatherfield?
-First of all, I doubted the W.I.T.C.H. Caleb and Cornelia Special that shows Caleb staying in Elyon’s house and got captured by the police for living in another’s property. (in my own opinion, the idea of it is a bit ludicrous). I do believe that the makers of the specials are not really the actual story makers of W.I.T.C.H. Let’s take Orube for example… both she and Caleb live in different worlds. When Orube came to Heatherfield, it was the Oracle and the guardians itself entrusted her to live in Rudolph’s house, plus to cover the identity of Rebecca, Ms. Rudolph’s niece. At first, she had a hard time adjusting but on the later issues, we saw how Rebecca/Orube felt comfortable on Earth, and even had a job too…unlike the whole Caleb-doesn’t-have-the-license-so-he-can’t-get-a-job issue in W.I.T.C.H. Special. Orube also pretended to be a college student as part of her cover… not so tough isn’t it?

What if Caleb did the same thing? Let’s compare the two characters—Orube and Caleb are both strong warriors, ready to face any challenges that will come to their lives. If the Oracle decided to give the key to Caleb and stayed in Rudolph’s house, then maybe Will could find him a job in the pet shop too where those important papers are not required anymore (Yes, because Grandpa Olsen is a kind person!) He will also pretend as Rudolph’s niece… so there’s still a chance for Cornelia and Caleb to stay together. That is, if Caleb would seriously choose Cornelia over Meridian.

Then what will happen to Orube? If Orube doesn’t exist, there wouldn’t be a problem. No, I’m just joking. I love Orube! (hugs her). She played a big part in the whole series and I know that she has a bigger purpose to stay in Heatherfield than Caleb. So I think the Oracle made a wise decision in choosing Orube than Caleb. But if we made a few twists there, Caleb and Orube could live in the same house… the results? Rumored live-in-partners? I’m just kidding. Or if they pretend as nieces of Rudolph and live there, love could be developed, don’t you think? Cornelia will explode in anger!

What if Cornelia decides to stay with Caleb in Meridian?
-If the Leryn solution existed, they would live happily ever after--Another scenes of the W.I.T.C.H. Special that I strongly doubt in happening if any of those possibilities occured. Cornelia doesn’t belong in Meridian but in Heatherfield-yes, because all her friends, family and memories are there. If she preferred her feelings over her role as a guardian, she’ll make the biggest mistake in her life. In the later series, we discovered that Cornelia’s feelings for Caleb is not really love but just mere infatuation or crush (Or is it just me and my foolish thinking?) What if her feelings for Caleb started to fade? What if she realizes that she wanted her former life back? I’m stating some of the points of the W.I.T.C.H. Special because halfway of Cornelia’s part there really convinced me.

THE CONCLUSION
After I analyzed the chances of Caleb and Cornelia to be together—it’s 50-50.But don’t lose hope, CalebxCornelia supporters! They’re just fictional characters from W.I.T.C.H. and we fans have the creative minds to make a fandom for this pairing! If it doesn’t work out in W.I.T.C.H., then let’s make it work out through fan arts, fanfictions or even AMV’s!

Fake fortune tellers suck

Yesterday I was really pissed... yeah REALLY REALLY PISSED! There was this fortune teller... no more like a palm-reader who came to our house. It was said that there was a curse that was buried there so he came to remove it. I don't really care about that stuff...what interested me is that my parents said he has the ability to read your future through your palm. Since I'm a fortune teller too and I can't read my own future, I let him read my palm. He even put that fluid which we called "lana" and read both of my hands... what really really pissed me is that he said these things

* I cannot go abroad (duh! It's my no. 1 ambition!)
* I'm under my husband (WTF? It's better not to get married! I would never ever let a man control my life! My pride will PWN him!)
* I'm easily tempted (If that's the case, I could have had dozens of boyfriends by now!)
* I have 2 son/daughter(s) before getting married (wtf again! If ever I made a blunder, I'm not going to repeat that mistake again! Madali lang akong matuto no!)
* I'm a "supakera" (omfg, that means I'm more bitchy than my sister)

I'm not really jumping into conclusions on what is in store of the future for me... but why is it that all the things I hated of happening is the one he predicted? I tried to analyze his readings and found out that what he all said are all made-up. First of all, when he said that I have a very long ambition... he's pointing to the lifeline (I'm a palm-reader to you know! wink!) and also when he said that I'm easily tempted, he's pointing to the loveline! He even suggested that I should scar my palm to prevent a bad happenning... WTF NO WAY! Well who knows? Maybe he has a different style of reading but no way! I won't let him put a scar on my hand! I really think that what he saw in me is that I'm a lowly life because of my rough attitude LOL. He had no idea how nerdy I am. I'll show him!

Nightmares about a headless priest

Yeah, just like what the title of this entry says... last night, I have this weird dream... REALLY WEIRD! After eating a heavy meal, I immediately slept and dreamt that I saw this headless priest standing in the door of my parent's room!!! It was really freaky!!! I woke up and found myself sweating buckets! Gosh, I thought that the nightmare's over but when I fell asleep again, it got worse! This time, the headless priest is lying beside me in the bed instead of my sister! Then on the table beside my bed, I saw its head slowly turning around me. I could not speak or even move... to think that I was only half-asleep! I tried to snap myself out before I could see the face of its decapitated head and fortunately, I WOKE UP! Thank God for that... I know shouldn't have eaten that heavy meal but when my step-dad said that before, he also dreamt that he saw a priest (not headless!) walking back and forth in their room. In his dream, he asked the priest what is he doing in their room. The priest just answered that "it doesn't matter." Then the next morning, we all found the door of their room open! Thank goodness, nothing was stolen! A lot of weird things has been happening after that incident in our house. Cries of a girl could be heard at night, people talking in the kitchen, doors swinging back and forth even if there's no wind, and also when I used my cell to video my sister sleeping as a practical joke, I heard someone talking! I then convinced my mom to have the house blessed again.

After months and months of waiting, it's finally here--Ino Yamanaka in action and a ShikaIno moment in the manga! We ShikaIno fans have been patient though we've been already bashed by many ShikaTema fans on writing ShikaIno fanfictions, making AMV's and creating shrines/fanclubs.

This image is from Naruto Chapter 327-the latest issue of Naruto Manga. Though it only shows how Ino cared for him as a comrade, it's enough to make my heart filled with joy by giving a beacon of hope for all ShikaIno fans. We were so inspired by the scene and a lot of my friends had already continued on making more fics. Even I, made already two ShikaIno AMV's! Check them out!

My opinion on Naruto pairings 2

This is just a continuation from my first entry about Naruto pairings

+ = My new fave pairing. If only I can just turn Lee's affection from Sakura to Tenten, they could have been a good couple. I like them together and I love how they cared for each other especially the time when Lee caught Tenten when Temari threw her. Though I can't see it happening in the manga, at least the fillers show some small Leeten love.

+ = It's okay. This is a crack pairing, yes. But think of it, Shikamaru needs a break from those troublesome girls and settle with a non-troublesome one like Hinata.

+ =This is a crack pairing but it could happen anytime. Well... I do want Sakura with Sasuke only, not both him and his brother. That could make more Sakura whores.

+ = Not bad at all. Honestly, it's one of my top favorite pairings. This pairing was just brought up because Ino fans doesn't want Sakura getting all the good looking guys for herself. Ino deserves them too.

+ = Sakura isn't the kind who would love monster-types like Gaara.

+ =A devil and an angel is equals to a match made in Heaven. Gaara needs Hinata's love.

My opinion on Naruto pairings (Canon or Crack)

Okay, this was coyed by Mereisen's journal entry about Naruto pairings. So here it is... my own opinions about Naruto couples. Crack or not, please respect my views. I didn't include the Shounen-ai and Shoujo-ai though.

+ = Okay, I must admit I don't like this pairing at first because being a big SasukexSakura supporter, I would prefer the two of them as friends. I also don't like the idea of Sakura being taller than Naruto. It's as if Naruto is just like Sakura's little brother. But after the timeskip, seeing how Naruto matured (a bit), also Sakura showing hints that she fell for him and Sasuke being a jerk... it makes me think NaruSaku as a good couple. In my own perception too, sooner or later...Kishi's going to make this canon since I think these two characters are focused on the later series.

+ = Since the beginning of the series, this was my favorite couple on top of all. I like the idea of Hinata loving Naruto even though he has the Kyuubi. However, hints of NaruHina are only shown in the fillers which are not part of the whole story. Naruto doesn't notice Hinata up to now. I still support the pairing though.

+ = Fillers made this pairing brought out by the fans but I think it's okay. Blondexblonde is cool.

+ = Why do I like SasuSaku? It's because this pairing has the most moments in the anime(Though I find Sakura always screaming for Sasuke's name a bit annoying hehe.) I find their scenes so striking especially the one when Sasuke was not in his self because of the cursed seal and Sakura hugging him that made him return to his own conciousness. Even if the two has the less possibility of ending up now since Sasuke turned evil, I'm still not giving up the SasuSaku love.

+ =This pairing isn't bad at all. Both Sasuke and Hinata are from clans who possess a strong bloodline and I'm dying to find out what would be their children like having the Byakugan and Sharingan combined.

+ = I don't think so. Ino's attraction for Sasuke is just mere infatuation since both she and Sakura are rivals.

+ = One of my fave pairings. At the start of the series, I really thought Shikamaru likes Ino and was annoyed for the girl doesn't notice him since Ino's eyes are fixed on Sasuke. The idea of Shikamaru caring for Ino and the way Ino cheered for Shika is really cute. There's also a hint in the Chuunin exams about Ino cheering for Sasuke and Chouji thinks, "After all that hard work, Ino is still cheering for Sasuke. I feel sorry for Shikamaru." But on the later series, I think Shikamaru really sees her only as a comrade and the same goes to Ino. Though hints of Shikatema and ChouIno are showing, I still believe Shikamaru and Ino is the the most wonderful couple among the two other pairings.

+ = This pairing is almost canon but still, I could not find in my heart to support it. Though people say "Age doesn't matter when it comes to love," I can't imagine Shikamaru's life with an older woman bossing him around.

+ = I know Chouji needs love. But since Ino is my fave kunoichi, she deserves someone better. And also, they like each other as friends, nothing more.

+ = This couple is cute but Kiba only sees Hinata as a teammate and Hinata sees him as an older brother.

+ = It seems like Hinata is paired up with whoever guy is closer to her. I'm sticking with Shino and Hinata being just good comrades and friends.

+ =My no. 1 most favorite pairing of all. First of all, I don't consider this pairing as incest because socially, both of them are just cousins and cousin-cousin relationships are acceptable in Japan and other Asian and European countries. Also, reading a study of their genetics tells that there's only a small risk of Neji and Hinata's kids being retarded. So why I like NejiHina? It's because there are many advantages if the two will end up: 1) To preserve the Hyuuga bloodline. 2) To unite the Main and the Branch families. 3) To remove the seal in Neji's forehead. Aside from that, their childhood memories are sweet and I can also see that only Hinata understands Neji's sufferings and feelings. The couple is also a perfect picture of love, angst and drama. Go NejiHina!

+ = Though I strongly dislike this pairing, I still respect the people who supports this since I'm also a fan of crack couples too. Neji and Tenten are okay as friends/teammates and I can hardly imagine them ending up romantically. Tenten idolizes Neji and doesn't understand Neji's feelings. On the other hand, Neji only sees her as a tool essential for his training. (no offense to all Nejiten fans)

Neji's Letter

Author's Notes: This is my first NejiHina fic. So be nice and don't bash. ^__^

My dear Hinata-sama,

You might be wondering why I am writing you this letter. Well, I just want to thank you for all the wonderful things you have brought into my life. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. You gave me strength and best of all, your unconditional love.

I remember the first day we met, way back on your third birthday: you were so shy then. I thought you wouldn’t even look at me, but I was amazed when you glanced back at me and smiled. Since then, I have never forgotten that simple smile Hinata-sama. I became much more willing to protect you not only because it’s my duty as a branch family member, but as your older brother who’s always there in good or bad times.

However, an incident happened that made me hold a strong grudge against the main family, including you, Hinata-sama. My anger blinded me and I almost forgot our wonderful relationship when we were young. I admit I have been a fool when I almost killed you in the Chuunin exams. Hinata-sama, you know at the bottom of my heart, how much I regretted those days. Despite of what happened, you still forgive me that made my simple admiration towards you turned to love.

I have never expected to fall in love with you and I’m aware that you have already someone you love—Uzumaki Naruto. It’s true that even though I am known to be a genius in the village, I became jealous of someone like him. However, I can’t find it in my heart to hate Naruto since he’s the man who saved me from the darkness and made me realize that even I… can fight my own destiny. He has better eyes than me Hinata-sama and now I realized why you love him.

I lose all hope in making you love me back not only as an older brother or a simple cousin but I wanted something more… I want to be the person who will take care and protect you in my entire existence. Yes, Hinata-sama… I want to spend the rest of my life with you. However, I think it will only remain as dreams and nothing more.

Until one day, I saw you crying alone under a tree. I couldn’t help myself seeing you in that state and I gathered the courage to ask you why. You hesitated for a moment before you confessed to me that your love interest, Naruto, is going steady with his teammate, Haruno Sakura. It hurts me to see you in pain, so I hugged you right there. You were a bit surprised to expect someone like me to hug you at that time but then, I know you needed someone to comfort you, Hinata-sama… and I want to be that person. It became one of the most memorable days in my life especially the time when you hugged me back and you cried freely in my arms.

After that day, we became much more at ease with each other. Instantly, we became best of friends and training partners too. Even though I knew that you’re still recovering from that heartbreak, you still have courage to show me your sweet smiles and soft laughter. Our friendship took seven months and a year for me to finally win your heart. That proves that I am really sincere and honest with my feelings to you, so I waited that long.

When we had our first date together as lovers, it was fulfilling! I was jumping with joy. I did undergo hard times to bring out your trust in me because every time I invited you out on a date, you were always with your teammates. I had to stretch out the budget for the day. But that was before, I never regretted those moments. Being with people who are special to you was the shortest trip to bring you closer to my heart. Spending a day with you is a day worth living for. I just can’t pass a day without seeing your lovely face or hearing your soft voice. You can call me crazy but it’s true.

We had great times together but there were tough times too. We had fights and little arguments, yet me managed to settle it immediately. I really admire your being so outspoken. You want to discuss and settle any disagreement we have had.

One of the most special moments that happened in my life is when I proposed marriage to you. I was so nervous then. Who would have thought that someone like me, Hyuuga Neji could be so tense? I was thinking that you would turn down my proposal. But when you said yes, I almost fell from the chair I was seated. I cried and you cried too. I could feel our hearts singing and cheering with happiness.

It was springtime in Konohagakure when the day of our wedding came. We received the sanctity of marriage with everybody’s support and guidance. You were the most beautiful woman walking in the aisle. Your long white gown accentuated your natural and inner beauty. Everybody paused and was mesmerized with what they had witnessed. Then, our first night together came. Remember, you made many excuses and you locked yourself in the bathroom. But the rest happened naturally…

One afternoon, when I just came back from a mission, Tenten was rushing towards me at the gate and informed me that you’re pregnant. It was perhaps the day that I would never forget. I jumped with joy and shouted, “at last… I’ll be a daddy!” Each day I had noticed changes in you physically but aside from that, I was disturbed by your mood sways. You would suddenly cry and say, “I… I’m sure you would replace me with other girls out there. You no longer love me because… I am now fat and ugly.” Hinata-sama, if you could only read my mind; you would probably see that you are the only love of my life. I would assure you 101%. I would never replace you with anybody else even if your beauty fades away. I gave you all the love and care that you needed during your pregnancy. I bought all your demands. One bizarre thing that you requested me was when you woke me up in the middle of the night and asked for ramen noodles at Ichiraku. I bought you one but it was from another store since Ichiraku was closed. I felt relieved because you ate it even if it was not bought from Ichiraku.

After nine months of waiting, the cry of a sweet little angel echoed in the four corners of the delivery room in Konoha Hospital. That sweet little angel is Hirusha. She got your pinkish skin and raven-blue hair. She is your junior version. What I have on her are my eyebrows and toe nails. Hirusha is as beautiful as you. Her presence brought another color, another meaning to our lives—we are now family.

You and I promised to be good if not the best parents for Hirusha. We would raise her to be an obedient fine girl and a strong faithful female ninja one day ready to protect the village.

Hinata-sama, you know how much I love you. But I know that there would be a point in our lives that you would do anything to protect the ones who are important to you. As what you have said to me… protecting them is your way of the ninja. It’s not only my way of the ninja Hinata-sama, but it’s also a way to show you my everlasting and unconditional love. I know that it is very painful on your part to accept this. Leaving you alone in raising our daughter would be a tough job for you. I would surely be missing you and Hirusha. You are my everything… death is the only thing that would break us apart.

As a peace treaty, the Snow Country wanted the dead body of the Hyuuga heir/heiress. Hinata-sama, I have sworn in my entire life to protect you that’s why I signed the treaty instead of you and just like what my father did, I sacrificed myself… not only to save you, but the village as well. I never regret what I did. I chose this destiny and I would really feel honored, even in my death, knowing that I will sacrifice my own self protecting you and Konoha. I can accept the pain of my death but leaving you is the most painful and hardest thing to do. I love you, Hinata-sama… and always tell Hirusha that her dad loves her so much. Bye…
